Posted by: MORELLE on Saturday November 10, 2018

It’s that time of the year again when the English community of Chantilly comes together for St Peter’s annual Christmas Kermesse!

Come and get into the festive spirit by joining us for some mulled wine and mince pies while browsing our extensive array presents and goodies for Christmas.

Looking for Christmas cards, crackers or table decorations? You'll find them all here alongside stalls offering a wide range of freshly made cakes and bakes, from traditional carrot cakes to ginger parkin, lemon drizzle cake and chocolate brownies, or even packets
of homemade fudge.

Whether its marmalade, jam, jellies or mincemeat, you'll find a tempting array of festive fare to grace your table, and you could even snap up a bargain Christmas pudding!

Feeling lucky? Why not have a flutter on the ever-popular bottle tombola or buy a raffle ticket with a chance to win one of our amazing prizes like a men's Barbour jacket, a round of golf or wine tasting for two.

And don't forget to bring the kids who will be sure to find something they like, whether toys, books or teddies. And if they don't fancy shopping they're sure to have fun in the basement where the First Chantilly Scouts will be running an exciting activity room.

In pride of place on the stage, you’ll find our extensively-stocked second-hand bookstall, with a huge offering which is sure to delight book lovers everywhere -- whether they're into classics or crime, mysteries or histories.

Whatever time you come, you won't go hungry, with our bistro serving up coffee and cakes for elevenses, a full three-course lunch with wine, and an array of sweets for afternoon tea.

And like every year, we'll be joining together to sing some of the best-loved Christmas carols, with people on hand to explain more about our church community, who we are and what we believe in.

Even if you live in Paris, it's only 25 minutes by train from Gare du Nord and you could combine the day with a trip to Chantilly's historic chateau and horse museum, both only five minutes walk away.
